Seven lily pads, seven letters and a duck waiting for a word. Spell duck and pond words before the clock runs dry and sniff out the secret word in every round.
Quack Words is a relaxed word puzzle where every answer is a duck or pond word, from bill and drake to gadwall and pochard. It runs right in your browser with nothing to install and works with a keyboard or a thumb. Unlike the other Quackoria games, this one teaches as you play: many caught words come with a one-line duck fact.
How to Play
- Press Play to start the 90-second clock and get seven letter lily pads.
- Tap pads or type letters to spell a word about ducks or ponds, then press Submit or Enter.
- Every real pond word scores 10 points per letter, and using all seven pads adds a 50 point bonus.
- Each round hides one secret word; finding it adds 25 points and 12 extra seconds, then a fresh set of pads arrives.
- Use Shuffle to see the letters in a new order, Clear or Backspace to fix a mistake, and K to skip a stubborn round.
- When time runs out you see your total score and the secret word you were hunting.

Gameplay tips
- Short words are quick points: egg, hen, web, mud, pad and bog all count.
- Try adding an S to a word you already found; simple plurals like ducks and nests score too.
- Shuffle when you are stuck. A new arrangement often reveals a word you missed.
- The secret word is usually the longest word you can make, so hunt for the longer words to earn extra time. The secret word is at least four letters, and at least five from round four.

Frequently asked questions
Which words count?
Only words from the built-in list of about 135 duck and pond words, plus their simple plurals ending in S.
How is the score worked out?
Ten points per letter, plus 50 for a word that uses all seven pads and 25 for finding the round's secret word.
What happens when the clock runs out?
The game ends and shows your total score and the secret word from the last round. Your best score is saved on this device.
Is there always a word to find?
Yes. Every set of seven letters is built around a secret word, so at least one list word is always possible, and the letters are reshuffled until several usually are.
