Hop your duck up a pond full of lily pads. Some drift, some sink, some are tiny. How high can you climb before you splash?
Lily Pad Hop is an endless vertical hopper where a duck climbs a pond one lily pad at a time while the pads drift, sink and shrink. It runs right in your browser with nothing to install. Unlike the other Quackoria games, every move is a single deliberate hop with three choices, so it is about reading the pond ahead rather than fast reflexes.
How to Play
- Press Hop to start with your duck sitting on the bottom lily pad.
- Hop up-left, straight up or up-right to the next row of pads.
- Only hop where there is a pad, or the duck lands in the water and the game ends.
- Darker pads start sinking as soon as you land, so hop off them quickly.
- Drifting pads move sideways, so wait until one lines up before you hop.
- Land beside a frog to earn 5 bonus pads on your score.

Gameplay tips
- Look one row ahead before you hop so you never land on a pad with no way onward.
- A drifting pad swings back and forth, so hop when it is closest to its centre column, not when it is at the far edge.
- Sinking pads are safe as a stepping stone if you already know your next hop before you land.
- Every 20 pads the pond gets harder, up to 120, so slow down a little and pick each hop carefully after the message appears.

Frequently asked questions
What ends the game?
Landing in the water. That happens if you hop where there is no pad, or if a sinking pad goes under while the duck is still on it.
How is the score counted?
Every pad you land on adds one to your score, and landing beside a frog adds five more. Your best score is saved in your browser.
Is there always a pad to hop to?
Yes. Every pad has at least one pad within reach in the row above, though it may be drifting or sinking.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Tap the left, middle or right third of the pond to hop in that direction, and the game pauses if you switch apps.
